Thanking him for writing her so often; informing him that Ruskin was seeming much better, however, today "he insisted on writing to the chief manager trustee of St. George, Mr. Baker, to resign the mastership or have the affairs of the company wound up--adding he'll never more have anything to do with it; adding that "he asked me in the most knowing way what you'd think of his getting over this attack so soon!"
